Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa arrived at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) this morning after being formally summoned to appear before the Commission.
Rajapaksa had reportedly been instructed in writing to appear at the Commission at 9:00 a.m. today.
The specific reason for the summons has not yet been officially disclosed. However, reports indicate that the inquiry may be connected to the controversial SriLankan Airlines Airbus aircraft deal.
Further details are expected to emerge following his appearance before the Commission.
